TOPIC: The Lion, the Which, or the Book?

I didn't think the movie was going to be as great as the book!  However, to my surprise, Disney did a great job in putting C. S. Lewis' work together in such a wonderful detailed script.  Although there were some minor differences from the book, I think it was a great production.  So if you haven't read it, it would be well worth it before going out to see the movie.  Enjoy whatever you pick!

TOPIC: Give thanks...

I am especially thankful this year for the opportunity to go back home and spend Thanksgiving with my family.  I have realized during this time that I have been away at college, how special it is to gather around the table and spend time with your loved ones.  I am also thankful for having such an awesome opportunity this year to go away for college and meet different people from across the globe.  But, most importantly, I am grateful for having God in my life, for without Him, I wouldn't be where I am today.

Harry Potter or Hurry Out?

Many people out there, especially Christians, have been asking themselves for a long time whether Harry Potter, its literature and movies are ‘safe’ to watch.  To begin with, I am a Harry Potter fan, and I believe the books offer great fictional literature and imagination.  I think Harry Potter brings a lot of fascinating scenes, plots, and it allows every one of us to get involved with the story as most readers do.  However, we must also study the difference between fiction and non-fiction.  Harry potter is of course based on fiction, and therefore I see no harm to the reader.  However, in any kind of reading we do, we must always remember we are just reading, perhaps to learn something, or perhaps to educate ourselves more.  In Rowlings' literature, we can come to a realization that her works are based on fantasy.  Every type of book out there offers many experiences for its readers.  Therefore if you are going to say Harry Potter is bad or evil, then why not rule out all the other books that are based on murder mysteries, for they too offer to the reader an imaginative plot.  So, no, I do not believe Harry Potter is an evil franchise, but for everything out there including Harry Potter, you just have to be careful how you apply your reading experiences to your life.  After all, reading should be fun and full of excitement!

Sharathon Shares Of Hope

Supporting any type of ministry entails much work, dedication, and commitment.  It is vital for any type of ministry to get funded from its supporters, fans, and listeners, in th
e case of God Squad Communications.  Through your help we can continue not only to bring you Morning Encounters, but we can also improve our Ministry to become more than it already is.  Can you imagine all the new possibilities?  I sure can!!  By supporting us, we ask you and your family and friends to help us by donating any way they can, as much or as little they can afford, and in return, we promise to give back to you in gratitude with the will of God, a better and growing ministry that awaits its fruits.  Thanks for your support!

Looking back at an awesome year!

This past year of Morning Encounters on
Radio Peace has truly been a very
exciting year for us! Looking back, I remember how much hard work was and
still is put into making the show what it is today. It is a great experience
to know how many people we have been able to reach out to, either through
the message of the week, or even through our prayers combined. I am very
happy to be part of such a great Ministry, such as Morning Encounters.
It has brought me many blessings, learning experiences, and most of all,
it has brought me closer to God. There is so much more potential and growth
that the Ministry awaits, and I am honored to be part of it. Thanks to
all that have kept us on air by supporting us, especially for your countless
prayers.
'Till then, together we will look ahead on this new year, trusting
in God that it will grow much more. May God Bless all of you!!!
