| Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media transported us to Narnia in 2005 with their motion picture adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Throughout the film, one was in awe with it's spectacular visual effects, the gripping storyline brought to life on the screen, and the amazing score. Then the climax of the film came and an amazing battle scene and action sequence, had you on the edge of your seat. In Prince Caspian, you will be on the edge of your seat from start to finish and feel the same sense of awe from the first journey to Narnia. Traveling to Narnia through the wardrobe was magical indeed, but the sequence at the Underground station at the open of Prince Caspian truly give you a sense of being transported to the magical land we know as Narnia. Each of the actors really took their character to a higher level than we saw in the first film and that was helped by the great development of action, romance and even comedy, having the delivery of some great one liners from each of the characters. If there's one movie to encounter God in this year, it's definitely Prince Caspian. The religious symbolism is even more prevalent in this second film, including themes such as reliance on God as the characters learn they must rely on Aslan, temptation as Prince Caspian and King Peter are tempted to use the help of the White Witch, and many other symbolic moments including the epic battle between good and evil. There is absolutely no question that The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian will rule the box office this summer and will have us all eagerly awaiting the release of the next Narnia film, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader! | ||
